ok so I'm new to tractors , yep fng. I have a tractor that has the 1678 loader on it and 1615 back hoe, but I have no idea what model the tractor is . it is a 6 cyl gas engine 2 wheel drive . when I type in the mod number I have 255 71066 it looks nothing like what I have. I need shop manuals , parts, and blah blah blah. one thing I need for sure is a hub for the rear , the one that is there is cracked . a new carb or rebuild kit for it . and exhaust manifold . any help would be great.

I googled White backhoe maybe that's what you have. Serial number that I have for 1655 in 1974 was close ending in 255515. Here is a pic of my old 1650 loader and may still have a hub if my old neighbor didn't scrap it.

that looks like my tractor. I couldn't post pics for some reason, still working on that. the hub on mine is 8 lug, if the you have is the same I would take it for sure. let me know please. thanks

I will be over in that neck of the woods this afternoon and won't be home till 8:00. It might be easier to pull axle out with the hub and I had sold a rim off the carcus back in 1994 and I think they torched the lug bolts off. I'll get some pics if its still there. This is a Lull forklift that also used Oliver 1550 and 1650 drive line.

J., My serial # is gone! I had more parts but the neighbors shed burned down and they went for scrap. Some were for the 1555 I have so it will never be original. They almost have finished the new shed. They still had a lull out back that looks to be based on the 770.

the yellow hub in the 3rd pic down looks like the one. idk. pm me about the $ if ya would. thanks! the serial number I have is 185 054507 mod# 255 71066. thanks again all !!!

Tractorcedric, I will contact them tomorrow and if you get a chance measure your axle diameter. Your backhoe may be based on the 1550 and may have smaller axle and hub. McFadden's and son in Sharon Springs NY may have one in the boneyard if this one doesn't work out.

what would it cost to ship the whole subframe wheel and all to moses lake wa. area? parts are parts and I can tell I'm gonna need a lot of them lol have a good one all !

I left a message with my old neighbor and he hasn't got back to me. Do you have a Fastenal hardware store near you? That's most likely the least expensive but if you think you only need the hub try that. Someone already pulled the main shaft out of that rearend and maybe some gears so I don't think you want it all! Greg

morning all , well I found a crack in the other hub yesterday so that's 2 needed now. tried to fix the hand throttle but I think the cable just needs to be replaced . I'm pretty sure its not the one that should be there in the first place. I reckon it a basket case tractor. I should have known better. it was caked with so much grease and dirt you couldn't see all the issues it has. I had to have a welder come out and fix some cracks I found in the frame and a great big long one on the main boom. I don't need it to be pretty I just need it to work. so this is me wackin my head on a brick wall .

mine looks just like the one in the pic above. 4-78-15 ? but mine is a 6 cyl gas 2 wheel drive . idk what to think at this point. I just know I need parts but I cant get them with out knowing what I have. one of the sights I found steiner seems to have quite a bit of stuff. anyway any help at all at this point is greatly appreiated

well I'm dead in the water as far as finding rear hubs for this tractor, I hope you friend still has them. I will buy them for whatever price at this point almost. are there other years / tractors I could look at for parts ?

ok well I need rear hubs . so I called a couple machine shops to see if they can turn me some new ones. yep they can, for close to a 1000 a piece. this tractor aint worth that. so I'm asking again is there any other tractors I can look at for parts? or dose anyone has some they want to sell?

found my hubs back east gonna have em shipped out this week . she is runnin and movein rock but still needs some work. burns about as much oil as it does fuel and leaks fluid all over oh well I will just keep addin

"bump"
still looking for parts, for a 2-62 or a 1550 . need a carb kit but the tag is missing from the carb its self . I'm pretty sure its a marvel schebler carb but .......
any other way to identify it ????

I'll check later i think the carburetor is
a marvel schebler tsx 959 your shop manual
will have the number its a different
carburetor then other olivers. Saying that
the rebuild parts will be out of a 550
that's what I think was stuck on mine and
i have had trouble ever since.

I was chattin with the folks from an other site and they said it is a tsx 903 . I looked them both up and both are said to be on the 1550. are they the same carb just different numbers ? sorry I don't know much about this thing yet . thanks again
