Greasable or sealed throw out bearing?

Any recommendations for a 1550? It has a greasable bearing in now but I'm changing the clutch. When I took everything apart I noticed that the old grease hose ripped inside the bellhousing and there is a pile of grease on the bearing but none in it!

If it was that one could be greased I would probably fix the hose and keep it that way.

On the other hand most of that type I have seen were over greased.

I always use the greasable bearings. Have never counted hours or type of use of tractor, but it seems they last longer. Our local John Deere dealer gets them from A&I and they have been about the same price as the sealed bearing.
Like to rebuild my own clutch and pressure plates(I know if you count labor they are available cheaper). The fingers on the pressure plate usually show no wear if a greasable bearing was used.
ps the greaable bearing from A&I is made in the USA,

Where are you getting your springs and release levers? I remember at service school when Oliver promoted dealers rebuilding there pressure plates. I would go with a new hose and a grease able bearing. We had more pilot bearing failures than throw-out bearings failing.

I would use a sealed bearing. Kind of funny in the operator's manual where they warn you not to get trigger-happy with grease gun. lol
