gotta take the crank out is it best to pull 3 speed with engine any other hints thanks for any reply 310 diesel also where is best to hook to

definitely pull O/U WITH engine. there are 2 stud head bolts that are used to pull the engine with. a large eye bolt on the most rearward stud is intended for pulling O/U and engine together. the more forward stud is for pulling engine alone.

Yep, and FYI... due to Oliver's independent PTO/hydraulics design, you must pull the pto drive shaft out the back of the tractor before pulling engine or O/U.

thanks again had a little trouble with the shaft removal .did a search and the impact trick worked perfect
