I just got a remote hydraulic valve for my super 55, and I don't see how it will work as the cap that is on casting uses 3 bolts to hold it on. the valve appears to have 4 bolts to fasten it on, and there are 6 oil ports on it, either It is the wrong one or maybe there is a plate that goes between,I can't do pics, but if any one, has a good pic of one that is mounted on tractor, and can explain it I would appreciate it. Thanks Pete

Oh man it probably has been 35-40 years but you have the right one. There will be at least one more plug and a short screw with a copper washer under it that also need to be removed. I probably still have the instruction sheet to install one. If I had your snail mail address I could make you a copy.

What year is your Super 55? You will need to increase the level of the hydraulic reservoir if you have a serial number prior to 23 131-500. There is a field conversion for that. You have to raise the filler and relocate the breather element to the top of the cover. Then there are a bypass and return tube to be installed in the reservoir. There are instructions on the link.

If you click on the link on my post, it will take you to the Photobucket file with the pages showing how to install the valve and the field conversion for the larger fluid capacity.

I can do that for you. But are you hitting the zoom button on your computer browser or on the Photobucket window? Works fine for me. I did notice the pages are out of order, so look at the page numbers.

Try this. Click on the link, it will show you five small images of the pages. The first two are actually in the wrong order, but that doesn't matter page 10-33 is the start of the installation. So you can click where it says slide show and it will scroll through the pages, there is a pause button on the lower left of the window. Or you can click on an individual page. If that looks too small go to the magnifying glass icon on the page and it will make it bigger. Give it a try, and if that doesn't work I'll snail mail you the images.

I think I got my kit several years ago from O'Brien County Implement. Their email is [email protected] . The part number for the kit is 1ESR-3539. But you only need that if your tractor is before serial number 23 131-500. The filler tube extension (stand pipe part # 1E-2059) I happened to find at a wrecker yard. You might check with Kent Gordon who scraps a lot of Super 55s. He may even have a tractor that had the kit on it. His email is [email protected]. If you find the kit, it will have instructions for installation. It requires some taping pipe threads on some of the existing holes, so keep in mind that once you install the remote, you can not operate the system with it removed.
