I haven't got around to getting a manual for that White 2-105 yet. I hauled manure with it today and found out the PTO brake isn't working. Unfortunately I found out when I was coming up the road with a mostly empty spreader and I dropped some in the road.
Is there an adjustment on it or is the problem internal? The lever comes all the way back to the end of the slot in the console, but when it's engaged,it's coming pretty close to being all the way ahead in the slot.

Randy: Unhook the linkage and work the arm by hand. The last 2 we had in the shop with no brake was because the cab mounts were too loose.

OK,I'll check it in the morning. The lever doesn't feel like it's going over center or whatever it's supposed to do when it's all the way back like the 2-135 does. The darned thing stops at low speeds alright, but I found out when I get the RPMs up to 3/4 throttle or so,it starts creeping again.

Randy, I hope one of the other posts is your problem. My luck it is usually the fiber plate behind the pto clutch housing. One time had the same problem and took the pto assembly off the tractor. The clutch housing was cracked in several places and was giving way. Pto still worked, but brake did not. At that time the only good thing about it is I got a used housing out of a 1755.

You're just a ray of sunshine today aren't you? lol

I got it. The cab mounts were good. It just took some precision tinkering on the linkage. The pin,rod and holes were good, but on that pivot up under the cab,the lever is hooked to one side,on the other side there's a short arm that the clevis hooks to. There's a spring tension pin that holds that short lever to the shaft. That pin was worked up partially out of it so it only went through the top of the arm and the shaft. I took the whole thing out and drove the pin in all the way. That tightened it right up.
The bracket that the pivot is hooked to with a U bolt was bent down just slightly. I bent that up with a tire iron, then moved the whole thing over just a little so the u bolt isn't quite in the same place so the lever doesn't rub in the console. With some adjusting on the rod,it's right. It goes over center and engages alright. I can pull it back and disengage it,then I can feel it snap back when I pull it back the rest of the way to engage the brake. I can hear just a slight, instantaneous change of pitch when the brake engages.
