super 77 or super 88?

Tractor is advertised as a super 77 but he doesn't know if it is a super 88 instead. The serial number is 38 573-801. It is also propane and how do you tell if it is factory propane or not by the serial number. I have not seen the tractor yet, just going by what he is telling me.

Serial number is for a 1956 Super 88. Call the museum and order a build card for the tractor.

Should the serial number plate specify that this tractor is LP from the factory?

I am pretty sure you would have to order a build card from the Floyd County Museum. One of my LP super 88's has a spec # of 18-0334 & a serial # of 38566-801. Yours is only 7 after mine. I know they used to build these tractors in batches, if I were to guess, it probably is a factory LP. To know for sure, order the build card.
