1850 balancer again

I had posted previously about issues with my balancer/pulley and crank splines being messed up. Still trying to find a pulley, have tried many salvage places with no luck. Can get a new one but it's REALLY salty. If anybody has ideas on where to get i'd be grateful. Also the wedge shaped washer; i think rrlund posted a picture of one with splines, the new ones don't have splines apparently. i would be interested in one of those as well!! Thanks, John

Do you just need the pulley because the dampner rubber is shot? If so, there is a guy (can't remember his name) in, I believe, Washington state, that re-does them with a lifetime warranty. He did one for my brother for his M2 combine. A new one was 12 or 1500 dollars. This guy did it and next day aired it back, took 3 days total, for $350. Someone on here knows his name I'm sure. If no one on this forum does, ask the same question on tractor talk, it gets more traffic.

He's stripped the splines out of this one. It came loose. The crank is pretty rough.
I've got one here off a combine, but it's stacked with about three pulleys if I remember right and the dish is too deep.

rrlund is right, it's the pulley that's bad. The crank splines are bad and the prev owner ground down the splines in the pulley and put in a smooth bushing and crammed it all on there. so i need the pulley and the tapered washer. i think you're right, i had been told that the ones on combines were a different set up. new ones are almost $700.

Thanks. Several of those i have already talked to but some i haven't. I'll try them. Thought about the keyway idea too.
