Can someone tell me if the power booster is part of the hand clutch or is it a separate item?

The hand clutch is the over-center clutch that needs to be engaged for direct drive to occur. Power is transmitted through the sprag clutch for low range, so the answer is yes. More questions? J.

Thanks I picked the old girl up in october. Its actually labeled Cockshutt but under the paint its green and it has Oliver in some of the labels. It had been sitting in the bush for 15 years. I spent 2 hours cleaning the carb then bypassed the gas tank with an outboard gas tank strapped to the hood and is started right up. I drover it home, about 10 miles. So the hand clutch should, if I understand correctly, should have hi and Low range. with neutral all the way backward. I have drained all the oils out along with about a quart of water. and was trying to determine if I needed the light weight or heavy weight oil. It would seem that if I indeed do have the Power booster then I need the thinner oil so thanks for helping me determine this. Keep up the good work.

There is no neutral with the hand clutch. Forward is direct drive, back disengages the clutch and the sprag clutch transfers the power through a counter shaft giving a reduction in speed.
