From the Hart-Parr/Oliver color slide archives in the Floyd County Museum. Another slide from the box labeled 'test track'. I don't know what the man is doing inside the box!?
Christine Bolte They are driving/controlling the tractor from there. The tractor is being tested on the bump and grind part of the track and if the operator had to sit on the tractor it would jar his teeth out. As you can see the cart has its wheels set wide to avoid the speed bumps.

Floyd County Museum That is easy to see once you say that, I saw he was driving the tractor but missed the wheels that were straddling the track., I knew you would know.
