From the Oliver archives at the Floyd County Museum. The gentleman by the Oliver shield is Milford Stewart. Mr. Stewart worked at the Charles City plant from 1930-1936, then again 1937-1946 as Assistant Chief Engineer. From 1946-1951 he was the Chief Engineer in South Bend. He held several patents: Equalizer brake pedal-Oliver 60; Hydraulic Power Lift on JD Model A; Independent PTO on the Oliver Fleetline tractors. The six seed transmissions on the Fleetline tractors was his design. The Stewart family have generously shared some of Mr. Stewart's papers for our archives.
