2150 FWA at recent auction ?

My Father in Law was watching a tractor auction on TV or the Net and he said there was an Oliver 2150 FWA with a Perkins engine . Said it sold for $70,000 ( if I heard him correctly ). I thought 2150's used Hercules engines, and I have never heard of any Oliver bringing that much $$. Any body know about this ?

If it was truly Perkins, it wasn't factory. You are right on the Hercules in that model.

Might have been a Cummins 8.3 conversion.

He's probably talking about the one at the November Mecum auction that brought 40,000$. It had a Hercules military transplant in it I think. I am rebuilding a 2150 MFWD from the ground up now and when it's done I don't think I would let it go for 40,000$.
