At that price,they must have heard what that one on an auction up here in Michigan brought last December. All of a sudden those things have gotten valuable.
 
Yeah, I guess those rear tires are worth quite a bit. 😳 Just remembered the past posts about the 500 tractor awhile back. Had to pick on you a bit. Haven't ever seen one of these in South Texas.
 
Still remember a 500 in pretty decent shape, sitting around a local dealership for months, back in the '70's. Their top salesman was a former Oliver dealer who could sell ice to the Eskimos, but even he couldn't unload the thing. Don't know where it finally went- I'm thinking they finally sent it to a consignment auction.
 
There was one like that here. A guy who worked for the railroad bought a new 500. I seriously doubt he put 500 hours on that thing. It sold with the farm in the mid 70s. The new buyer plowed about 15 acres with it and traded it off to the Ford dealer on a new 5000. The Ford dealer has been closed for 35 years or so now. I've asked the former owner of the dealership and his dad if they remembered where that tractor ever went. Neither one can remember.
