Oliver 1550 little power

Right now my 1550 is stuck in the mud. I have it set on direct drive and the engine seems to run fine. But when I try to move, the wheels will completely stop turning. I don't understand how this can be if there is a true direct drive connection. Could the electric side not be disconnecting? I have an oliver loader on it and am trying to move round bales. I have "Yesterday's Tractor Manual for the 1550. I do NOT have Revers-o-torc.

If you have an all hydraulic loader you can push yourself back with
the bucket and then see if you can move. Tip the bucket all the way
back lower the loader then roll the bucket that should get you
somewhat out then see if you get traction

I think someone should also point out, there is nothing electric on the hydra power in an Ollie. Could be the hydra power unit is bad, could be the clutch, or s few other things. Start where These guys have mentioned.

It is pouring rain right now, but I will look at all of your ideas when I can get back out. Thanks for your help.

note: the engine does not die, so I guess clutch is a possibility.
