1550 hydraulic problems (help needed )

My cousin has a 1550 that he bought last year it's a good running and driving tractor. But he has some hydraulic problems. The 3pt works fine it will lift large round bails with no problems. But when he hooks the hay bine up the the wet lines it won't raise it up. What could be the problem he is having. Also the tractor had a loader on at some point in its life. The brackets were on it when he bought the tractor.

"wet lines" You must associate with trucks! Anyhow borrow or buy a 3000 PSI gauge and check the pressure at the remotes to start with and see what pressures you have.

If it had a loader,I'm thinking the power beyond plug might still be in it.

One or two lines? If it's a single-acting cylinder the bleed screw for that side should be opened three turns and the bypass valve opened.
