I put a 354 perkins in a 1880 oliver which came out of a 1850 oliver. Now the motor went bad.
question is can i put a 354 perkins out of a massy harris combine in this tractor. has anyone ever
tried this.I can see already that i will need to make my own motor mounts for the front

Maybe. I had the Perkins 354 in a white 8800 combine, break a crankshaft. When I went looking for a different crankshaft, I found that their were atleast 3 different shafts for that engine. The differences were number of bllts in the flywheel flange and different distance from crank flange to block face.I also remember some differences in the crank rear seal flange. It ended up being not nearly as simple as it could be. To change a complete engine, the main thing to watch is number of flywheel bolts and crank to block face spacing.

Thanks Jon for your information it was very helpful, thank god my bell housing bolted on and also the fly wheel.some new motor mounts and I'm in business.
