I got the 1650 running today. I ended up replacing the cap and rotor and I think my ignition switch was partly to blame. I'm running the coil off a toggle switch for now and it seems to make a difference. The other good news is that after having the carb apart 3 times I've got it tuned much better. Thanks again to all of you guys who always take time to help me out. I don't get on here as much as I should but you guys are always good to help when I need it.

They can sure act funny with a cracked cap. At one time my 1600 ran fine after it started, but when I'd try to start it,spark was jumping to a plug on a cylinder that was coming up on compression, causing it to want to kick back when it was rolling over.
