70 won't start?

A friend picked up an Oliver 70 and it will not start. He has spark at the points but nothing to the spark plugs? Anyone have any ideas? I suggested to check the cap and to turn the motor over with the cap off to see if points are opening/closing properly. What should the point gap be? Dick, Oregon

I just went through this with my 1650. I'd start with cap and rotor since that was part of my problem. How old are the plugs and wires? I think point gap should be .025. Might want to check the oil bath to make sure it can breath.
