According to the original source of this photo (hankstruckpictures.com), this flatbed of Oliver Super 55s were headed from the Charles City, IA, factory to the Winnipeg dealer in 1954. Thanks for sharing, J.D.

Can you imagine driving that truck that far on likely secondary roads. Long way in those days. Nice to see the picture
though. I have a 54 Oliver super 55 and would like to think mine took the same ride back east. Likely it was on the
train though. Maybe this load too when to the depot. Thanks for sharing.

Truck is most likely a Mercury ,Canadian Ford, About a 1954. If you look at the name on the front, too many letters for ford.

I had a truck exactly like that, except it was a Ford. A 1953 C-750 Big Job. It was used to pull a car hauler back in it's day. It had hydraulic brakes and an air compressor for the booster and trailer brakes. Gas V-8 and a 5 speed with 2 speed. I sold it to a guy that built a motor home out of it. He put the cab on a longer frame with a 3208 Twin Turbo CAT in it. It is now a very neat vehicle.
