1855 ring and pinion bad

I have an 1855 that the ring and pinion is bad and at least one of the pieces went through the bull gear and broke a tooth off it. I would like to replace everything from the transmission back with parts from a 1955. It has a 5.9L Cummins in it and I would like a stronger rear. Does anyone know if this is possible? I thought with all the Olivers with blown engines parts would be essy to find. I have been looking for a long time with no luck so far.

I'm sure you can find parts in a salvage yard.
Maibach tractor, all states Ag, worthington Ag
parts, etc. I've never owned a 1955 but thought the
only difference was in the differential. You could
spend some time in the agco online parts books
and find out what is different and the same.

You can bolt on anything from a 1750 or larger. We had a 1755 with a bad transmission, do they put on an 1855 rear end at the shop. Was a little wider and heavier but worked just fine until the engine blew.

I saw last week that Brian Lagesse in Bloomer, Wisconsin was advertising that he had over 30 various Oliver rearends from tractors he has
parted out this fall. I'm sure he would be able to help you out with gears or the whole rearend. I also know he can arrange shipping for you. Call
him M-F at 715-579-4070. He is easy to talk to, easy to deal with, and very knowledgable. BIG MARV
