Cletrac model K

I am working on a Cletrac model K and by the serial number it should be a 1933 model. I have a few questions and wonder fi somebody would help me out. First, what year did they start painting them orange. This one looks to be orange originally, but there seems to be all colors from looking on the internet. Second, how does the trac come apart? Is there a master link? I have to change a seal and that looks like the only way to get at it.
Thanks for your answers in advance.

According to the serial # data base, the Ks were made until 1932.
What is your tractor and engine serial number?
I've seen a lot of Ks over the years and as far as I know your late production tractor should be red and grey not orange or yellow. Not sure exactly when yellow/orange started. Probably when the streamlined versions came out. Many tractors were repainted by dealers and owners with the newer colors to give them an updated more modern look.
I removed a pin on K once and found the was no master pin or link. The pins are not tapered as on some tractors and I drove my pin from the outside to the inside. A real pain. The key is backing the tracks with something heavy.
Don't be afraid to use a torch to heat up the track area where the bushing is. let it cool. Squirt the pins with Kroil or some other penetrant and let it sit.
Heat again. Cool.
What seals are you replacing?
Good luck

Thanks for your information. I wanted to believe my Cletrac was one of the colorful ones. It has been well painted orange but with a serial number well over 11,000 I can believe this was possibly done even at the factory. The seal I am changing is behind the right rear drive sprocket. It looks to be very oily in that area while the one on the left side is dry. The rest of this machine looks as though it had been treated very well all of its life.

The last serial number on the K was 10207. Are you referring to the serial number or engine number. Check out our website, calolivercletrac.org Richard
