Hello all,
I need a little advice on track guids
for a cletrac ag6. The right track
keeps coming off and after a little
research I believe its mainly because I
have no track guids...it didn't come
with any when I bought it...
I am planning to fab something to hold
the track on using the original bolt
holes for the guides. My thoughts are a
piece of large angle (maybe 12" long 3"
x6"x1/2" angle) at the front and back
of the main roller assembly just inside
of the first and last roller. That
would give a total of 4 for each side.
I'm looking for any advice and or
photos of what the original guide
should look like. I don't really want
to make something to go the full length
of the track as that would take more
material and be a serious pain to deal
with. 8 smaller ones seemed to be an
easier option to build and install. As
I said any advice or ideas for this
would be appreciated...I'm tired of
putting the tracks back on and I
recently got my oxy torch set up to cut
out the pieces. Should I be concerned
that each guide would only.be held in
place by 2 1/2" bolts? Adding a gusset
on each piece is doable but it seems
that the bolts or track assembly would
give first. I will probably bend out
the first and last 1" or so to help
align the track should it get off. The
way I was planning it the guide would
actually push on the head of the track
pins and not the track...anyone see a
problem with than?
Thanks,
Aaron
