This popped up on my local Craiglst

My model E Cletrac has a Hercules OOC engine (about 25 HP). So you can drop in a 150 HP engine and the clutch, transmission, and undercarriage can handle the power? Is this really a model E? And not to be picky, but why not paint it the correct color? A collector might cough up the money if the color was OK.
Even nicely fixed up original crawlers do not seem to bring much money. But "a completely functioning hot rod classic collectable tractor/dozer", now that might surprise us all. Could I put a V-12 Deutz Diesel into my Cletrac? Guess I would have a problem crank-starting it.

That 150 hp figure is what the engine was rated at in a car at 4800 rpm. Looks like a 230 or 250 cubic inch Chev 6. A tractor engine of similar displacement i.e. a 263 Farmall engine, would be about 65 HP. on the PTO. If I remember, those engines on a K Gleaner were around 75 gross HP at the flywheel at 2000 rpm.

Well it's not a 292 but it could be a 194 230 or a 250 but it's not a good motor for that for sure, As for being collectable well that went out the window when they dropped the chevy motor in it. It's just something somebody got dirt cheep and had a motor laying around and found a use for it and now it's about done they are bored with it and momma says its got to go (more than likely).
