Wondering if anyone knows the tooth count on a Oliver 99 ring and pinion. Part number's 7A-602-A and 7A-644-A. Where might a person find one or who to talk too about it? Thanks.

Well since all the grandkids that stayed here are sleeping I looked a little bit into this. First of all what tractor was this used on? I am guessing maybe a super 99 GM as I don't have a parts book for one. I looked in my Super 99 parts book and those numbers were replaced by the 700 series part numbers. It also depended if you had a regular transmission or an industrial transmission as 3 different combinations were available. So now can you provide me with more information?

I have a 99 with the 6 cylinder gas. It has the 7A-602 pinion and 7A-644 ring gear in it. According to my 99 HC parts book, there was also a option of a 7A-602-A pinion and 7A-644-A ring gear. The parts book says these were used with tractors with tractors with 34" rears and makes a C-99-B gear combination. I am wondering if the other ring and pinion is slower or faster than what I have now. Parts book for the Super 99's tells the tooth counts. Haven't been able to find that for the 99's yet. Thanks.

Keep in mind some of those have a high speed 4th gear and some don't also, I've never had a cover off one of those so I can't help you with the tooth count.
