Gearshift Boot- 1650

In getting the 1650 ready if we get a big (for us anyway) snow, I found the gearshift boot rotten again. Does anyone have ideas on an aftermarket boot of some kind that will work and last? I have even tried a boot for a steering stabilizer for a 4x4 pickup. The boots specific for the Olivers seem to split after about a week. Thanks in advance.

Where'd you get the one that split? I got the one on my 77 from Korves back in the late 90's and it's still good.

Got the last boot from Maibach in spring of 2015 and it is split already. I tried Korves before that. Before that, some other advertiser in Oliver Heritage magazine. The rubber is not near as good as what was used when these toys were new.
