Cockshutt 570 pros and cons

Found a 570 diesel for sale locally, don't need it for anything in particular but I wouldn't be surprised if it pulled a small cultivator around or did a little square baling.
I understand parts are pricey for the Hercules engine.
Anything I should pay attention to?

I just had one overhauled. Didn't think it was that pricey for a 6cyl diesel. Had more into a 4cyl buda diesel. Like mine for baling. Seems to be geared right for it and handles the nh311 pulling bale baskets nicely. If it's sat not running, make sure the injection pump is free before trying to turn it over. Things that aren't readily available in there can be set up and brake. From what I'm told, other than seal kits, parts for the Bosch psb injection pumps are next to impossible to find. Parts for the rest of the tractor are somewhat easy to come by. Been pleasantly surprised with mine.

I don't use mine for much except antique pulling but the fellow I bought it from had owned it and farmed with it for 12 years. It was his primary tractor for round bailing and silage chopper. He pulled a 4 bottom Cockshutt plow with it.He loved it. He said it was the easiest tractor on fuel he had ever owned. He bought a 2-85 White with a cab when I bought it from him.I have had zero problems with it in 7 years.

there was a few of those tractors around here and the guys had either broken cranks in them or engine troubles.just from what i heard not the best tractor.i did see the broken cranks though.

Sure they were 570's? I working with a foggy memory, so might be wrong, but I thought the 560's had the crank trouble. Wish someone with more experience than me would chime in.
