I have a 1255 4x4 and there is something wrong in front diff either
broken axle or something else. I found a 1365 4x4 on Craigslist.
Does anyone know if front axles are the same? Thanks

No, they are not the same, no comparison really. The 1265/1365 series Fiat FWA units are significantly improved vs the 55's. If you find a 1365 FWA in decent mechanical shape, I doubt you'll ever drive your 1255 again. Dads 1255 FWA broke the front pinion shaft in two. There are no parts available for the front ring gear/pinion sets, so I had a machine shop center pin it and then had it welded and heat treated. It's probably "OK", but I wouldn't want to rely on it. Love my 1365 FWA, and if rrlund sees this post I'm sure he'll let you know how he feels about his. Plenty of help here if you get it and have questions, great tractor IMO.

Thanks for info. Sometime this winter I'll be getting my 1255 in the
shop to tear it apart to see what's up. Hope it's not the diff but acts
like it cause when I turn drive shaft by hand only the rear tires want to
turn

Yep,1365's a great tractor. I think the planetaries are larger on the 1365. If you've found a 1365,but it,use it,love it.
