Cockshutt 30

Trying to pull engine on Cockshutt 30. Everything on motor and two front motor support bolts out. Everywhere says remove two bolts at rear. Only two bolts I see hold the oil filter bracket on and its off. Before I start pulling on the motor, am I missing something or should it slide forward and then pick it up.

There are also two dowels at the rear next to the bolts. Find the tee on the left side of the head and disconnect the line that goes to the oil pressure gauge. That is a restricted tee, not standard, so don't break it. BTDT. Other that that it's the usual wiring, throttle linkage, temp gauge, hoses.

And then slide it forward? In case a PTO or other power shaft is connected at the back end? gm

Not so on the 30s.

You do have to slide it forward some, just like any engine.
