We picked up a 70 today, has aluminum hood and side panels, hammock seat. Where is the serial number located. Has D600A619 cast on side of block below distributor.

Should have a regular Oliver crest almost directly behind the oil filter on the left side of the engine. They are are a pain to see and normally covered in oil and dirt. Hope this helps you out. Duane.o

With the aluminum hood and side shields wouldn't it be 1948 model, I do remember that paint didn't stick very good.
