Hey guys, dad went to an auction Saturday in Breckenridge, MI, and bought a bunch more stuff he didn't need. He missed a Farmall Super A that had a belly mower for $675. He bought the following: Oliver Super 77 gas, complete with all metal, tires are ok, but mismatched, engine stuck but will rock a little, dad was the only bidder and bought it for $100. Next bought an Oliver 1610 fully hydraulic loader, decent shape, lift cylinders are a bit pitted, no welds or cracks, he was the only bidder at $25. Next he bought a set of Oliver rear wheel weights for $20 and an Oliver 3 point 2-16" plow in very good condition for $140. He next bought a 2 row McCormick corn planter for $7 and an Oliver 2-14" rooster comb plow with like new bottoms, missing one wheel for I think he said $18. He bought a bundle of I think 6 new plow points to fit the 3 pt 2 bottom plow for $4. Next he bought an Oliver walking plow that came with new handles for $7, he doesn't even have a horse? The best buys he got was a heavy duty hayrack wagon in VERY nice condition on an equally heavy and nice Oliver running gear for $525. His best buy of the day though? An Oliver 770 gas, WF, 3 point, flat top fenders, checkerboard grille, very nice original almost perfect complete tinwork, not running, but turn over, pretty decent matching tires. Needs seat rubbers and bushings. He was the only bidder at.... $500! Brought it home, put some gas in it after fixing a leaky sediment bowl gasket and cleaning the points and checking all of the fluids, and it started right up. Didn't even have to charge the battery! Dad already has a 770 diesel that his uncle bought new, but he said he just couldn't pass this one up for $500. Said there wasn't much interest in anything. It's too bad really, if that fellow that owned that stuff is alive (which I'm not sure), he would feel very bad he couldn't get anything out of his stuff.
