New to me 1755

I posted a few days ago about swapping utility front ends with a row crop front end. Below is the reason why. Drove down to south of Findlay, OH to get it, found it on Craigslist. Serial number 228 112-676 and Model 575-22433, so a an early 1971, I will have to get a build card on it. Looks to be in OK shape, 3300 hrs, ran out good, 3 speed shifted ok best as I could tell, cab mounts look new so I am guessing those are aftermarket, was repainted at some point, has an injector line leak off the pump, one of the rims and rim locks look dodgy, needs a few lights, tires at some point and a good clean up. Previous owner said he was the second owner and that the first owner bought it new used it a few years, then rented his ground and only used it occasionally. Second owner used it to pull a grain drill. Second owner changed all the fluids, I checked and they look new and it came with a parts manual, owner’s manual and shop booklet. Negotiating, loading and post purchase BS’ing went pretty smooth. Ride home was a bit of a trip. From South of Detroit to Findlay almost all construction. Boy they sure make those lanes real narrow and when they divide two lane into individual lanes and you are surrounded by 3ft high concreate barriers you would be surprised how fast you get of the gas pedal. Made it home no problems, just later than expected. Snapped these pics last night when I got home from work and before we went out to do some family stuff. If it does not blow off the trailer or get crushed by a falling tree in today’s 55mph wind storm we are supposed to get I will have if off the trailer tonight and maybe get a video of it running.

I was down there quite a few times with my dad when I was a kid, got my cockshutt 580 super from there still have it(model of course).

Yep grandpa and a few other people had those 580's made only took us 26 years to finally sell them all.

Caleb do you have any pictures of your grandfather dealership? I wouldn't mind putting some in the book for this tractor. Stickers will stay on. Eventually I will have someone reproduce them.


I called the owners about 12 hours after he posted it and was first in line. To the owners credit he stood on his word and didn't let anyone else come for it. In today’s day and age that is pretty rare. When I was down there, he got 3 calls about the tractor. Every time someone called he just laughed.
