Oliver 1550 value

I am looking at a 1550, it says it has a 1650 diesel engine, needs fenders and engine work. Has hydo power. What would be a good price to get this for? Or just run away?!

I've spent a lot of time looking at 1550's in the past several months. Can't do anything this year due poor crops. Anyways, I doubt unless the engine is a complete mess that you will get it for under 2000 dollars. A lot of guys want 1550's/ 1555's right now.

The one in Coopersville for $2400? The tires look good. You probably won't get beat up too bad at that price unless the engine needs a LOT of work. It's an aftermarket seat on there. Needs a battery box. I'd maybe offer $2000 and start walking for the car and see what happens. To be honest,I'd give more if it was a gas with the original engine.

I have bought 3 1550's and one 1555 sense 1988 and have given from $1300 to $3400 for them. I still have the 3 1550's sold the 1555 for $3750 at auction. So that should give you an idea on price. Needing finder work is commend on these but the big thing is what kind of engine work dose it need and how much will it cost to fix it? If it can be bought right and engine work is not to much it's up to you to decide. $2000 to $2500 or close to it is not a bad price. Hope this helps. Bandit

Do find out if it has the 1650 engine and if the early one or the later direct injection model.

I do believe this is the one right here. In all honesty,depending on what the engine needs,I'd feel better at around $1750 on it.

would pay no more than scrap price....
By the time you get it up and running you could've more money in it than it is worth on the market was you to sell it

mtp36, if that is the tractor in pics I also have a 1650 diesel engine that needs rebuilt. I found a gas 1650 engine to replace it and been pretty happy with it. If your name is Joey you saw it last night. My 1555 has a 1650 engine. Greg
