anyone with a white 2-105

I would like someone with a 105 that has a Perkins engine in it to look at the number of shims under the front engine mounts and trans mount. I need a base line to start with. Mine has all of them stacked up under the right hand front engine pad. Been told that if these are not correct it will effect the shifting issue I have. 1st,2nd and R1 you can not get it out of gear. With clutch down it will not roll while in these gears. You have to bounce clutch to get it out of gear.

All shims on one corner does not seem right.
I would divide them equally between the four corners and see if that works for the shifting.
IMO there is no easy way of measuring the engine to tranny input shaft lineup. It is usually only a couple thou difference front to back or side to side to get it correct

I thought somebody had said just recently that the Olivers didn't have any when they came from the factory? That they were used later to compensate for wear if needed? Don't know about the Whites.

This is from the factory 2-105 manual. " Install engine and Over/Under into frame. Allow it to rest on rear motor mounts and trunnion support. Measure clearance between front mount and frame. Install shims equal to clearance plus .004 inch and secure mounts to frame."

Have you put a dial indicator on it to check it? What about your clutch, is the pilot bearing good? A bad pilot bearing will cause shifting problems as well.
