serial number

I picked up a 550 a few years back and just now having to put parts into it. My problem is that I need the tractor serial number and I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure these out. The ID# and the serial# don't match anything I've been able to find anywhere. Where is a good place to look up a serial number?

Did you try the list on the left side of the screen? Click the link. Drop the last three numbers from the serial number on your tag. That's the transmission code.

Thanks for that info. I dropped the last 3 digits and took out the separations from between the second and third digiits and I ended up with a 1958 model year. With that age I have even more appreciation with how great it runs!

Double check the number or post it on here. Engine wise the 1958 models are different.

The ID# is 35-0029.
The serial# is 64 391 519.
