1800A 265 head on 1650 265 block?

Your key word is directly. The 1800 A head is held on with 14 9/16 inch head bolts. The 1650 head is bolted to the block with over 20 1/2 inch head bolts. Coolant holes are different and are not the same on all 1800A heads. So my answer is No. But I have seen in done, but you could not run coolant.

I don't [u:57dd9d47a0]have[/u:57dd9d47a0] to run coolant, right?

But seriously, it's interesting how similar and yet so different they can be!

Thanks J. Schwiebert! You're a wealth of knowledge. You've probably forgotten more information than I'll learn in my life!

Those 2 engines have many differences. The 1800 has a 7 main bearing block, full pressure lube, and individual intake ports for each cylinder. Let me guess you want to go pull!
