1550 Hyddrapower leak

What is the loop of hose or line that is just behind the filter? PO had a poorly made loop of 3/16 brake line and brass elbows (one was a 45) that were leaking. The parts book calls for a hose but I made a new one of 5/16 line and new inverted flare elbows. Now it leaks from the round part that the upper elbow screws into. That piece also vibrates when it's running. Is the vibration normal? Can that leak be fixed without taking the whole thing out?
