There's one on craigslist for 500 I think I might be interested as it can do narrow rows what's the good and the bad about them?

We had one there all right but I'm not sure
if it will do narrow check the width from
the center of the gathering chain to the
outside tire. They were built back in the
day when row with was determined by the
rear end of a horse they might be wider
than a person thinks

I'll bet you a shiny new nickel it is for wide rows. 30"rows didn't become mainstream until late 60's early 70's. I remember pull type, narrow row pickers, but they weren't made until about the 70's. I don't believe there ever were any mounted narrow row ear pickers, the tractor was too wide. Chris

I picked 28" with mine. I'll show you a pic if I can talk mama into scanning it for me. She's the expert in this house, ya know.

Thanks guys I decided there's other equipment that would be smarter for me to spend my money on right now
