Am assembling the steering assembly that I have been working on this year. I need to know what grease I use and how much. I hear that JD corn head grease is the way to go. I'll have to get there in the AM tomorrow to get some if that is best option however how much? Any help would be great. Thanks

I pack all the steering boxes like that I have with JD Corn Head grease seems to work OK,seems like steering boxes were the last thing that got lubricated on an old tractors.

Thanks for advice. Still looking for how much it takes to fill it up. I don't have use for this stuff once it is fill if I have left over. and I don't want to purchase more than I need. So how many tubes does it?

You will need 2 TUBES of John Deere Corn Head grease. Mine took about 1 1/2 to fill. Has been working great ever since and no more pesky leaks.
