I just bought a 1650 with 1610 loader. The loader is run off the remotes. The bucket tilt is run off the right remote and lift is off the left remote. The bucket tilt leaks down pretty fast, almost visibly with the tractor off and the bucket off the ground. Even when the engine is running I have to tilt the bucket back every so often. I thought it was just the cylinders. I've hooked up my Deere 1209 hay mower by disconnecting both of the lines to the bucket tilt on the RH remotes and everything operated fine with the single acting cylinder. Went to hook up a 13' wheel disc with single acting cylinder this morning and the tractor would NOT pick it up. I could hear the relief valve opening when trying to lift.
I'm going to switch the hoses around between remotes so lift is on right and tilt is on left remote to see if the leaking down is a function of the valve in the hydraulic system. I've not checked hydraulic pressure but it has plenty enough pressure for the loader to lift the front of the tractor up.
I have I&T manual and Operator manual on the way. I was really hoping to burn some fuel pulling the disc tonight though. Any suggestions on what could be the cause?
I'm going to borrow a flow meter from work and a couple 3000 psi gauges to check pressures and flows from remotes. Any other suggestions on what to check?
