Pics-Results Kenny Storrer Sale Iola,Kansas

Today I and my brother attended the Kenny Storrer Oliver auction south of Gas,Kansas...Kenny used to be the Oliver dealer in nearby Iola....We used to tractor pull against him in in the early 1970's..The morning started out foggy but by 9 AM it was a beautiful sunny day with temps reaching the mid 70's by afternoon..We ran in to lots of old friends from both collecting and pulling..

4-880 LP Wheatland $12,000 Tractor was sold new in May 1959 by Simpson Oliver in Hutchison,KS...Tractor was restored from the ground up with $9700 in parts and 642 hours labor.

The Oliver 1550 LP was actually $7,500,not $7800.

No problems with the 440 that I was aware of.....Kennys tractors were all in great shape except for 2-3 and he told what they needed....

Thanks--I know it looked real nice--I just see them listed for twice that much & I thought it would sell for much more than it did

I wonder what was so special ablut the Ccockshutt 70 that it went so high? They are a relatively common tractor in Canada.

They are rare in my area and two people wanted it..Heres a picture of the 80 Cockshutt that sold for $3,500..It had no tag...
