Super 77 Diesel blow-by

I purchase a 1955 Super 77 Diesel S/N 28-289,705 after new battery cables and a new starter it is up and running. What is considered to much blow-by? I have read about people having issues with low quality Chinese rebuild kits, what kit or company is of good quality? And if i go as far as rebuilding the engine who would you recommend sending the Bosch injection pump and injectors to? I know its a lot of questions, thank you in advance.

Trevor, They sell the kits on this site and say they are made in America. In my opinion if it has blow-by it's in need of a rebuild and if it was mine I would do the injection pump, transfer pump and injectors. Good luck, Chuck

Whilst the simple conclusion that it is in need of a major rebuild may be correct, there is also the possibility that it has been run under light load and only requires working at full
power for a good period of time. There may be other reasons for the blow-by, also, but the poster has given little information other than it is occurring. I would need more definitive
symptoms before adopting such a radical course of action.
