Did the 770 Oliver come from the factory with a wide top fender and two head lights in each fender???? Going to look at one that comes this way and was wondering if it is factory and what year..............

Late models did , I sold a 63 or 64 last year . Someone will chime in here with all the particulars .

We had a new 770 with the flat top fenders. They were only used on the checkerboard grills. They only had one headlight on all the ones I saw. the first ones had green light inserts and the later ones like ours had white inserts. I spent a lot of hours on that tractor and it was great to drive.

Like Galen said from the factory single headlights only. Tractors with flat top fenders and fiberglass grilsl were placed in production January of 1963. On the dual head lights, Oliver had a kit, dealer install item only for the 1650 tractors I know because I installed several of those. There is no reason that kit could not have been installed on a 770. Furnish us the serial number when you look at the tractor. J.

Got the 770---SN 131XXX, BY MEMORY,looks to be a 1963. Wide fenders with two lights and the metal grill. It has the wide front. I prefer the narrow front. Is it a fairly straight forward deal to go with a narrow front and are they difficult to find. What are approx. prices for the wide fronts and also prices for the narrow fronts. Will get some pics of the front when I get it home. Also it has an aftermarket 3 pt. hitch with two hyd. cylinders and still uses the original type of rear hitch.
