How to fix the white tractor steering problem? To
drive it down road you have to steer it back and
forth and you better stay under 15mph unless you
want to be in the ditch !

The first thing is check for worn tie rod ends and other worn parts. make sure the wheels a toed in 1/8-1/4". If they toe out it will hunt left and right as you drive down the road. Hoe this helps, Chuck

If it is darting back and forth on you randomly, and your tie rods are tight, I bet your steering motor (located on the bottom of your steering wheel shaft) is worn out.

My Ac has a hydraulic cylinder that the power steering moves to steer the tractor. Mine had to be rebuilt to stop that problem. I do not remember if a White has one, if it does you, might ck it out

shaft coming out of gearcase that steering arm is on is probably loose is a comon problem with them ,got rid of ours was always something wrong with it from hyd. to steeering to tierods, clutch, overdirect and under ,engine only went 3750 hours and had too be rebuilt, and ultimately pto shaft that runs to flywheel would brake .if not real careful when using pto ours broke at least 4 times

Have someone sit in the seat and turn the wheel back and forth. Crawl all over the front end to find the loose parts.

My 9150 Deutz Allis was that way when I traded for it, tie rod ends, the arm under the Hyd unit was loose on the shaft, even the arm on top of the spindles were loose. Had a full rack of weights on the front, previous owner only put up hay with this tractor, it's my planting tractor, 12 row, still don't run front weights.

Same steering as the 2-155.
