1650/1655 Cab Question

I'm assuming that a 1655 cab would fit a 1650? Been looking for good cab from 1650 and wanted to make sure 1655 would fit as well. (If anyone has a good cab to get rid of, let me know. I'm in SW WI but would travel a little for a good cab with 1650/1655 brackets and filler plates

I was looking for a cab for a 1650 for awhile but got over it and found that the cab I wanted was a HINIKER. The cab I kept finding that I did not like was the Year-A-Round which looked more like a telephone booth. It's alot of work but if you can't find one with the hardware for a 1650/1655, the parts are not too difficult to make from sheet metal. Hinikers ended up on Olivers but were more common on JD. The Hinkers for JD 3020 will fit the 1650/1655. Lots of them on Tractorhouse and the prices seem to be dropping.

Thanks for the reply. Did you ever get a Hiniker mounted to your 1650? If so, can you send some photos of how you mounted it?

Kerwin I did not. Just could not find any close by, I am in Western Maryland. Not easy to locate one off a 1650/55 but might get someone to sell just the cab. The guy who I bought my 1650 from had another 1650 with a cab and may still have it. Looks like a nice one not sure of the mfr. He is in NE PA, if this is not too far for you try Kurt at Lenox Farm Supply (570)357-2868. He just might sell the cab separately.

I'm curious why you are looking for a cab? Winter work? I removed the cab from my 1655 (sold it already though) and put a rollbar/canopy on. Like it much better than the cab.

Yes, winter work. Also, for a while I had tried to find a rollbar/canopy and found them priced pretty high. So I thought if I could I'd just find a decent cab that would work in winter as well.
