It is the regular speed set up for a 77. The pinion shaft should have 11 teeth and the ring gear 50 teeth

is there any way you can clean it up and preserve the paint in condition it is in?

I just repainted a pair of fenders for my 77 that were rusty like that. When I wet sanded I was surprised how good the paint was under all that rust. Chuck
