I have a oliver 1800C diesel serial# is 139002-844. It has a cracked piston skirt on the #2 cylinder so i pulled it out and tore it down. The confusion that i have is that i thought that all 1800C had the 310 Waukesha. But after i take the head off it has a flat top pistons in it? I am need of help getting this identified to hopefully get it back together. All the casting numbers below were taken off the components.

The cylinder head has a 221902 casting # on it
The block has a casting # of 157329A and 221120C.
The crankshaft has the 221411 casting# which is for a 310
The connecting rods has 221407 casting # which is for a 310
and the piston has casting # of 221804

Where is the confusion? All 1800 B & C series diesels are 310 cubic inches with flat top pistons. More questions? I do have some pointers for you so post a phone number. J.

The issue i had was when looking for a rebuild kit all i came across were a dished piston.I tred calling several places and no one seemed to be able to answer this. I was able to get a sleeve kit from Arrow Engine when we crossed the piston# so hopefully its the correct one
