2-70 hydralics getting hot

doing some plowing today with a semi mount plow, and hydraulics got so hot I couldn't touch the housing. I have not had any issues when using remotes, but after an hour of plowing I had to quit. I took main relief out and checked it over cleaned and put back in, went and tried it again, but same thing after a half hour this time got hot again. The draft control seems to be working right, but after oil got real hot, it would go down when lifting back wheel with remotes. I am thinking the next step maybe the servo/proportional valve or whatever it is called?? any help on where /what to look for greatly appreciated.

John: Your right my post does sound confusing. My excuse is I am running on very little sleep these days, and was too quick to post without reading over. I am even more confused tonight, as I took plow off of the 2-70, and put it on the 1800 as I really do not have the time to tinker with right now. So I go to pull the 2-70 away from the plow, and I have no power steering. I raise 3 point, still nothing, then pull on a remote lever, and my power steering starts to work! But soon as I let off on remote , gone again. I would love to talk to you, not just about my 2-70 issue, but just to have a chat with someone with your knowledge on my favored line of equipment would be an honor. I am rarely home before 9 at night my land line is 705-799-2114. My cell is 705-934-3032. I have to go to Toronto Tuesday/wed for the machine tool show, and plan on hitting the local tractor pull Friday night, but I should be home Thursday night if you are available?
Thanks Tom
