2-135 engine replacement

I have a 2-135 with original motor (I think a Hercules). has around 7500 hours on the tractor but supposedly 3000 on an overhaul. runs good, good power.
for some reason I just like to have backup parts around and have a 354 perkins out of my 510 massey combine that spun a rod bearing(stuck it tight). will that motor fit in a 135 or is that a dumb idea?
the 354 needs a crank for sure and a rod but else I was gonna get rid of the 354 unless it would work as a backup. I've always heard putting in a cummins motor but never a 354.
thoughts??

I think the 354 would leave it underpowered. Better to put a Cummins in. Maybe the 354 could go into a project 2-105, 2-85, or 1850. The guys here can advise on pan/ tub clearances and so forth.

i would call maibach tractor and see options on rebuilding hercules. i believe that company is back in business.
