77 pto housing

I had a bad bearing in the pto somewhere..after disassembly I discovered its the bearing in the final drive housing..i have a few 66 parts tractors that have no noise when rotated and was wondering if they interchange or not..if not I guess ill fix the one off the 77..thanks for the help and thanks to rrlund and others for pics that helped to get this all apart..have a great day all

They are the same, the clutch is a single disk on the 66, 2 disk on the 77.

thanks j that helps a lot and will make it easier to get together faster is the pto shaft the same also or diff other than the clutch..have a great evening

The long shafts are different on a 66 and a 77, however the 540 output shaft is the same.

ok thanks again the splines on this one are pretty wore but I have another spare for a 77 so might install that one as I intend to use it to brushog with..have a good one and thanks for sharing with us what you have learned through the years
