My dad and I were at an auction on the weekend, and this combine was too good of deal and way too good of shape to pass up. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me the year?? serial number is 220936

[b:654c4848f0]1962.  [/b:654c4848f0] They were built beginning in 1954 through 1962.   There were 119 built after yours.

We bought the last one our local Cockshutt dealer and who had an old thresherman help me set it up. This old fellow gave me some good advice ... best tractor speed would be 1 mile/hour and get down on your hands and knees to check what was going over the back. Have always missed that scour-kleen in small grains on other combines I've had.

Matt, Yes I was very surprised at that sale on a few items and what they brought. I was very surprised on the items they sold separate from the equipment that was there, like the original reel bars for this combine, hitches for the tractors, and such.

Jimont Thank you for the advice for operating it, I do want to try it one of these days!

B A Star, thank you for the info on the years and info!

thats a nice combine. hopefully we will get our 18 combine fixed up and painted soon because we hope to have it restored for the tractor shows next year. plus the fact that our combine is the 9th one off the line so its pretty neat too.
