Hello I have been looking for an Oliver baler for a little while to use occasionally. I found a couple different ones. Can some one tell me the differences between the 720, 620, and the 520. Also how is parts availability for these three balers? Thanks

I can't tell you much other than the Oliver 720 became the Hesston 4500 after White dropped hay & forage so probably has the best parts availability in the AGCO system.

I have a 520 and I can tell you that a few of the parts are still available from AGCO, but most are not.
A couple of years ago, I priced a needle, found out that it was still available, but was higher than what I paid for the whole baler.

As pointed out, the 720 is the later model of the 620.   sounds like you are not interested in capacity, the 620 plunger travels at 61 strokes per minute vs the 720 at 81 SPM.  The 520 was the "economy" model, having a narrower pickup and fewer rows of teeth, unless it was equipped with the optional "Gleen sweep".
The bale chambers are all the same 14" x 18".   The wire tying mechanism is the same on all three models.   More than likely you are looking at a twine tie machine.   look at the twine discs in the knotter.   620 balers came with 6 knoch discs, 720 & 520 had four knoch discs.   There was an package to install four knoch discs on the 620.   6 knoch discs have to be adjusted to the type of twine you are using where the four knoch only need adjusted not as precise and not changed from one type of twine to another.

I went to AGCO for an idler pulley. Told parts lady I had an Oliver 720 and she said pulley was not available. She found the pulley after I told her to look under Hesston 4500!
